The staff were exceptional, remembering my name and always greeting me with smiles, which made my stay truly enjoyable. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring freshly prepared options including a delicious Full English, along with a lovely selection of yogurt and fresh fruits. I believe the hotel's bathrooms could use some upgrades to reflect its four-star status better.

Good place with great amenities like free parking, a wonderful bar/lounge area, and 24-hour reception. I'll never forget how the staff helped me return my forgotten belongings. I had a fantastic experience during a recent wedding, too!

i loved being just a few steps from daneshill lakes, where i enjoyed peaceful walks surrounded by nature. The breakfast was seriously the best part of my stay, with an amazing selection that really set me up for a day of exploring the local area.

I enjoyed my stay at Ye Olde Bell, with delightful staff and a fantastic spa experience. The dining ambiance added to the lovely meals we had. I did find the room a bit dated compared to expectations.

Had an awesome getaway with a group of friends here. The atmosphere was great and we loved being surrounded by the beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside. We even visited the Tournament at the Club, which raised an impressive £11,252 for AgeUK Rotherham. If you’re looking for relaxation and fun, this is the spot. Don’t miss out on the lovely afternoon tea – it’s a treat!

My only issue was that the room was way too hot, even after turning off the radiators. It made sleeping a bit uncomfortable, and I wish that had been sorted out.

my stay at ye olde bell was fantastic! the evening meal was excellent, and the classic double room was so comfortable. the staff were the highlight – very welcoming and efficient, even with a wedding and a funeral happening. i loved the multi-million pound spa with its amazing snowstorm treatment.

It was just a fitting option for a brief sojourn in Retford with great value for money. The breakfast had plenty of options, both healthy and indulgent, catering to different preferences. Make sure to ask about any special requests you might have during your stay.

The food was amazing at the restaurant, especially the delicious prawn starter, and the dessert platter was a fun surprise! I loved unwinding in the garden area and soaking in the spa's warm pool. Just a heads up, the breakfast hours were a bit early for my taste, so plan accordingly! 😊

The location of Ye Olde Bell is charming, nestled in a historic building with character. The staff were genuinely friendly, always ready to assist. I loved the breakfast, freshly made, with a nice variety of fruits. my room had several issues. The bathroom needed better maintenance. the sink was loose and the shower had no seal, causing flooding. I also noticed outdated decor and dirty carpets, which were disappointing for a hotel of this caliber. Dining service was another low point. I faced long waits to place my order, and communication felt disorganized. Despite a beautiful setting and potential, it lacks the upkeep and attentive service needed to make it truly enjoyable.
